About
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to make things. As a young girl I enjoyed collecting leaves and berries from the garden, I would mix them together in hope of creating some amazing potion.
I spent three years at college studying Art and Design, which gave me a comprehensive understanding of colour, texture and an appreciation for all things visual.
In 2002 I began work in a cosmetics laboratory. This gave me a real opportunity to learn the skills and processes involved in making a product.
After three years of working in the industry I began to experiment with my own ideas.
From the beginning I knew that I really wanted to make soap so I began experimenting with different ingredients and formulas. It didn’t take long before I was addicted to the art of soap making. Soon after that I began to make other products.
From the kitchen table many ideas were developed not all were successful but I was determined to continue to follow my dream. So in 2006 I embarked on a business course at Bristol College to turn my dream into a reality.
I believe that my background in Art and Design and my passion to make things has been a real driving force in the creation of my own range of products.
With the loving support of my husband, family and friends Hetty Horner was born.
